Kade is currently playing with U12 Quinte Red Devils, this is his second season as an underage player. Kade is the type of player every coach wants on his team. He is an enforcer with high hockey intelligence and faces adversity head on. He is versatile and adapts quickly. He is not afraid to go up against the big guys. Kade has watched his older brother Lauchlan play in the Best of Best series for the past three years and looks forward to making new memories and meeting new friends.

Ben is a right-handed centre whose powerful skating and drive makes him a strong 200 foot player. While Ben can lead the rush and drive the play, he also often finds an extra gear when it comes to his back check. Ben’s love and passion for the game is reflected in his tireless work ethic - he practices just as hard as he plays. In the off-season, Ben trades his skates in for cleats and a lax stick and also loves to fish and spend time at the cottage with friends and family. He is thrilled with the opportunity to play with this special group of players on Team East and is ready to have some fun out there!

Blake is fearless in the crease, yet provides a calm and confident presence to the skaters in front of him. He trains hard to be ready physically and mentally to perform at his best. Away from the rink, Blake loves to rollerblade, golf, play baseball and basketball, and snowboard. He is very excited to represent Team East after watching his big brother create lifelong friendships and with the Best of Best title last summer!

Bo is a true defenceman with strong backward skating, quick transitions and escape moves. He is diligent at keeping the puck in the zone and shutting down his opponents. His passion for hockey is evident as he gives 110% on and off the ice. Between practices and games Bo’s competitive nature drives him to improve his skills and try new tactics. Bo demonstrates strong team leadership as he is always encouraging his teammates and putting a smile on their face. Outside of hockey you can find Bo golfing or out on the lake, fishing and enjoying water sports.

Cruz is a hardworking, dedicated player that puts 110% effort in everything he does. He is a big power forward with a hard shot and silky smooth mitts. The past few months, Cruz has been put into the defensive position where he has excelled making him an extremely versatile player. Cruz is a high IQ player which is evident in his playmaking and passing. Off the ice, Cruz continuously works hard to improve his game. During off season, Cruz enjoys playing lacrosse for the Peterborough Lakers. He also enjoys the outdoors where he roller blades and fishes at the trailer. Cruz can’t wait to represent the 2024 Best of the best Team East, as well as make new friendships and long lasting memories.

Eddie is a strong defenceman with a heavy shot and an eye for making great passes. He moves the puck well, creates quick transitions for his team, and initiates opportunities in the offensive zone. Eddie makes life difficult for opposing teams and has posted impressive plus/minus stats for the past 2 seasons. He is constantly working to improve his game and has a true passion and love for hockey, which has helped him improve year over year. Eddie is excited and honoured to be representing Team East and is looking forward to meeting new friends to share this amazing experience with!

Evan is a speedy winger with a high hockey IQ. H.e loves to create space and find teammates across the entire 200ft of ice. Evan has a knack for scoring goals but plays a defensively responsible game. He competed for Pro Hockey Development at the Brick Tournament in 2023. He scored 3 goals and had 1 assist in 6 games. He was the first star vs Team Manitoba where he scored the game winning goal. He also scored the overtime game winning goal in the Taylor Hall Tournament semifinals vs Hamilton for his hometown Quinte Red Devils. Evan led the OMHA East in points during the 2022 2023 season.

Gavin is a highly motivated and determined athlete who brings that mindset and work ethic to everything he does. As a quick puck moving defenceman, he demonstrates his speed and smooth skating, playing 200 ft of the ice. He is very excited for the opportunity to play with his Team East teammates and looks forward to contributing to the success of the team.

Hudson’s love of the game is evident in his grit and determination. He plays the game full of energy, he is competitive and genuinely enjoys seeing his teammates do well. He is known to be vocal on and off the ice, and plays with a smile on his face. The bigger the game, the better he plays. He’s very excited to represent Team East!

Kash comes from the Quinte Red Devils and has a rare combination of both size and hands. He is a team leader both on and off the ice and a ‘glue’ guy in the room. He competes hard, loves battling in the corners and has a team first approach. A fierce competitor, Kash loves playing in big games and having to rise to the occasion. He will bring a consistent effort and positive attitude day in and day out for Team East.

Layton is a hard working forward that can play both center and wing. Layton is a very competitive player who is always looking for places to improve his game whether at the rink or during off ice training. His strong dedication to hockey along with his work ethic have allowed him to become the player he is today. Away from the rink Layton is an accomplished runner as well as a AAA hardball player. Layton would also like to thank the many coaches and trainers that have helped him along the way!

Mac is very excited to be part of the Best of the Best series with Team East. He loves to set goals and work towards achieving them, whether it is in athletics or school.. Mac puts his team first and is always willing to put the work in, in order to help his team succeed. He is looking forward to playing with a great group of players and learning new tactics from his coaches.

Miller is a strong, hardworking two way defender that has a quick, hard shot. He has poise with the puck in all three zones with a pass first mentality. Miller is dedicated and focused with a genuine passion and love for the game. His team first attitude and leadership has earned him the Captain role for the past two seasons for the Central Ontario Wolves. Off the ice Miller can be found outdoors on the farm, getting muddy four wheeling and enjoying watersports on the lake. Miller is super pumped about representing Team East!

Noah is a hard working and tireless two way centerman. He loves to spend time in the corners at both ends of the ice. Noah is a pass first player but also loves to shoot the puck. He loves to battle along the boards, near the net and cycling the puck is a big part of his game. Noah is co-captain of his Quinte Red Devils AAA team, leading by example with his work ethic on and off the ice. Away from the rink Noah is a fastball catcher, who also loves to golf and fish. He proudly wears #7 for his admiration of Brady Tkachuk.

Ryan is a patient goaltender who remains focused with every play to protect his crease and stay solid between the pipes. His competitive spirit and determination to improve has driven his success as a goalie over the last few years. Ryan has a true love and passion for the sport. When Ryan is not suited up as a goalie he can be found playing shinny with friends as an out player, practising his skating and shot. When not in the rink Ryan loves to be playing golf, soccer and sprint canoe/kayak racing. Ryan is extremely excited to represent Team East and share this experience with new friends!

From Peterborough, Tommy is a defenceman known for his great speed, endless supply of energy, and high hockey IQ. He is used to playing big minutes and is relied upon during critical game situations. He loves battles and is tough in the corners and defending his net. Not one to shy away from jumping up front, he’ll push into the offensive zone and get pucks on goal. He’s excited to represent Team East and make some great friends.

Ryan is currently with the U12 Ajax Pickering Raiders, this is his second season as an under aged player. Ryan is a steady, stay at home defenceman who uses his skating to shut down opponents and create offence. Ryan has a very high compete level and refuses to lose puck battles. Ryan is inspired by his older sister Avery, who played D1 hockey for Penn St, his older brother Evan who plays U15 AAA for the Markham Majors and his older sister Allie who plays U15 AA for the Markham Stouffville Stars.
