Ralph Su is a forward playing AAA hockey in the GTHL the last two years for the Vaughan Kings (U10) and playing up with the Toronto Red Wings (U12). He was born in Chengdu (China) and moved to Toronto to train and compete with the best. Last summer, Ralph played in the 2023 Brick Invitational in Edmonton for Pro Hockey, making it to the semi-finals. Ralph is a very talented and skilled player and has scored a number of important goals for the teams he’s played on.

Anthony Basso is a defenceman playing the last two years for the AAA Vaughan Kings in the GTHL. He is known as an offensive defenceman, but is always team-first, loves playing tough, shutting down the other team, and protecting his goalie. Last spring, Anthony played for the Toronto Bulldogs at the 2023 Brick Invitational in Edmonton. Anthony is a bright straight-A student who works hard both on and off the ice. He is proud to represent the GTHL and the Kings in the Best of the Best Series.

Jack Schwab has played the past two years with the Toronto Marlboros and has led the team in scoring both seasons. He played an important role this year in helping the team win the 2023/24 GTHL league championship. Jack is recognized as a fierce competitor who excels at both ends of the ice, and is known for his team leadership, exceptional hockey I.Q., powerful skating, and tremendous shot. He was chosen as a tournament All Star at the International Silver Stick AAA Finals last fall, and was a key member of the Toronto Bulldogs at the Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament, where he was selected as a Player of the Game twice. When he’s not on the ice Jack enjoys fishing, riding his bike, and spending time with his family and friends.

Rowan Hussey has spent his time in AAA as a forward with the Toronto Jr Canadiens. Over the past two seasons, he’s developed a reputation as an intelligent player with great hands and a commitment to helping his teammates. His sense of humour and outgoing nature make him a fun presence on the bench and in the room. In addition to hockey, Rowan has played rep lacrosse since the age of five and has translated those skills into his game. Rowan looks forward to adding Best of the Best to his growing list of accomplishments.

Cooper Thornton has played the last two seasons with the GTHL’s Don Mills Flyers. During that time, he’s emerged as a leader on and off the ice who loves to share laughs with his teammates. Coop’s size, work ethic and tenacity make him a frustrating opponent to play against while his speed and hands make him a tough player to defend. In the off-season, Coop enjoys any and all sports he can find - rugby, track, soccer, basketball and golf all find a place in the schedule. Coop’s excited to make some new friends, create some great memories and compete hard during the Best of the Best.

Kingsley Ryan is a dedicated hockey player currently making significant contributions as a member of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Hailing from the 2022-23 GTHL Champion team, he is recognized for his team-first mentality and unwavering competitive spirit. Kingsley thrives on the camaraderie with his teammates, displaying a selfless attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team win. He looks forward to challenging himself against the province's top competition, embodying a passion for the sport and a commitment to success on the ice

Ludovico Talanca is a forward who currently plays for Reps U12 AAA in the GTHL. Ludovico has been passionate about hockey since the age of 2 and at the age of 6 he accomplished playing up and has done so since. He has played AAA hockey for 3 seasons and his love for the game keeps him succeeding. His determination, hard-working skills and desire to excel has made him a great hockey player. Ludovico's loyalty to the coaches, team and teammates has always been one of his greatest attributes. He is delighted to represent GTHL at the Best of the Best.

Finley Hollins is a defenceman for the Toronto Young Nationals. He has been a member of the team for the past 2 seasons. Recognized for his hard work, team leadership and sense of humour. Played for Toronto Pro Hockey at the Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament. When he is not playing hockey you can find him running track or playing lacrosse. He is thrilled to be selected to the GTHL Best of the Best Team.

Petar Jovanovic has protected the net of the GTHL’s AAA Toronto Young Nationals, for the past two seasons. He is a 2023 Brick Invitational alumni, and now honoured to be a member of Team Toronto in the prestigious Best of the Best series. Petar is a young goalie enjoying the game that he loves, one save at a time. You can usually find him at the rink with his big speaker, a mango muzzy Fuel Up smoothie, and a smile on his face! As a multi-sport athlete, off the ice Petar is an avid baseball and soccer player. He is excited to play with new teammates, forge new friendships, and represent Team Toronto against the Best of the Best.

Eli Malhotra has spent the last two seasons playing defence for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Always eager to compete and play hard for his teammates, Eli values the importance of making clean breakout passes and likes to join the attack when the opportunity is there. Away from the rink, Eli enjoys playing lacrosse, basketball, flag football and soccer.

Anthony Covassin has played defence for the past two seasons for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. At the end of the 2022/2023 season, Anthony was honoured with the 2013 JRC Leadership Award. In the spring of 2023, he played for Pro Hockey at the Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament in Edmonton. Anthony is a relentless defenceman who will do whatever it takes to shut down his opponents. When he’s not on the ice, Anthony enjoys playing soccer, riding his ATV

Mason Strgacic spent his first 3 seasons of competitive hockey with the Duffield Devils. In U9, the Duffield Devils Black won the championship and Mason scored the overtime winning goal in the deciding game. In U10, Mason was also part of the championship winning Toronto Junior Canadiens and continued his hockey career in U11 with the Toronto Junior Canadiens as well. Mason’s passion for the game has been growing every day and he loves being part of a team. He always emphasizes a team first approach. In his time away from the rink, Mason is an A+ student and also plays AAA baseball.

Mario Capizzano has been a member of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens for the past two seasons. He has demonstrated excellent skills, versatility and dedication to the sport. Mario played an integral role in helping his team win the 2022/2023 league championship and continues to be a team leader.In 2023, Mario also participated In the Invitational Brick Tournament as a member of the Pro Hockey team, where was selected to the All-Star Game. Mario’s favorite NHL Player is Darnell Nurse, his favorite team is the Montreal Canadiens, his favorite food is steak. When Mario is not playing hockey, he enjoys playing competitive soccer and spending quality time with his family.

Chase Nielsen, #31, also known as DrFreeze31 - a prodigious Goaltender for the Toronto JRC AAA U11 in the GTHL. With a demeanor as unshakable as ice, Chase has rightfully earned his nickname for his remarkable composure and coolness in the most intense moments on the ice. His journey in hockey is already marked by impressive achievements: 2021-2022: NYHL Select Champions Duffield Black. 2022-2023: Toronto JRC's GTHL U10 AAA Season Champions and Playoff Champions 2023: Goaltender Toronto Bulldogs Brick Invitational. 2023:Toronto JRC's Champions - Toronto Marlies Friendship Tournament. Chase's admiration for goalies like Carey Price isn't just fanfare; it's a deep study. He follows the stats and strategies of top NHL goalies with a dedication that borders on the spiritual. This dedication extends to his training and performance, where he is known among his coaches and teammates as the most diligent and limit-pushing goaltender.

Justin Huang has been playing for Toronto Jr. Canadiens as defence for the last two seasons. He is a skilled and well rounded defence. And he plays both ways. Justin is a team player. He battles hard on ice and loves to play competitive games. He is honoured to play in the BRICK Tournament for Pro Hockey Team during last summer. Off ice, Justin loves to play video games and tennis.

Gianluca Pallotta has been an impactful Defence with the Toronto Marlboros for the last two seasons. Recognized for his smooth skating, quick feet and composed style of play, he has the great ability to see the game and set up plays from the back end. He takes pride in defending his zone and being a great teammate on and off the ice. Some of Gianluca’s best hockey moments include playing for Team Pennsylvania in the 2023 Brick Invitational Tournament, GTHL U11 AAA Regular Season Champions, 2023 Team Ontario Border War Champions, 2023 Canadiens Cup Champions. Off the ice Gianluca enjoys a variety of sports including soccer, roller hockey and track. Gianluca is looking forward to being a member of the GTHL Best of the Best Team.

Jonathan (Johnny) Beauclair has played hockey competitively on both sides of the border. He has been a forward for the Toronto Marlboros for the past two seasons. Most recently, Jonathan played an important role in supporting his teammates to win the 2023/2024 league championship. In 2023, Jonathan also participated in the Invitational Brick Tournament as a member of the Bulldogs, where he led the team in points and goals. He was also selected to the All-Star game for Team Canada. Jonathan is known for his love of the game. He is also known for his competitiveness, work ethic, hockey IQ, play making abilities and fast pace execution. When Jonathan is not playing hockey, he enjoys playing football, golf, and spending quality time with family and friends. Johnny is looking forward to being a member of the GTHL Best of the Best Team.
